Japanese knotweed is a highly invasive plant that spreads quickly along stream banks, outcompetes native vegetation, and degrades stream health. Volunteers will cut and remove Japanese knotweed using machetes, helping control its spread and protect our local waterways. This is also a great opportunity to learn more about watershed health and the mission of LLWS.
Volunteers ages 16+ may participate (young adults under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).
