In 2025 members of the Little Lehigh Watershed Stewards (LLWS) founded the Pennsylvania Road Salt Action (PARSA) working group by bringing together partners to address the growing issue of chloride pollution from road salt through coordinated outreach, education, and action.

Pennsylvania Road Salt Action (PARSA) is a statewide collaborative of watershed groups, conservation organizations, watershed volunteers, and technical experts working to reduce the impacts of road salt on water resources while maintaining public safety. PARSA focuses on education, outreach, and sharing practical tools and best practices that communities can implement locally.  More information about PARSA working group can be found at:
