RAIN GARDEN
A rain garden is a depression in the landscape that soaks up rainwater runoff from hard surfaces like roofs, driveways, walkways, and compacted lawn areas filtering out pollutants that would go into our streams and our drinking water. Rain gardens are usually planted with grasses and flowering perennials and provide food and shelter for wildlife like birds and butterflies.
